Whoa! What is this? A heat wave?!?! I woke up at 4am all drenched in sweat because it was so hot. I went downstairs for a couple of glasses of water, changed my shirt and relaxed a little bit cause I felt like having a monster headache. Anyway, I watched The Jackal on HBO and after finishing it decided to sleep on the sofa downstairs so it would be cooler. I think it was 6am by the time I fell asleep.
I woke up at 10am. It was still so hot, I decided to sleep on the tiled floor where it would be cooler. I woke up around 12 noon. Man, I was so hungry, but still felt like it was so hot. Anyway, I wanted to sleep it off but I heard my dad calling me for lunch.
After having lunch, I hit the showers to try and cool me off. It only cooled me off for a while, until an hour later, I could feel the heat again. I decided to just sit and do nothing (other than drink water) to remedy the situation. The weather was so hot, that even as I was doing nothing, I was sweating. I thought it was just me, until I heard my mom and dad from across the house saying how hot the weather was.
It was as I said to my friends, if it gets too hot! I'm the first one to go. I maybe the last one or not at all to shiver in a cold room, office or theater; but I'm definitely the first one to die if a heat wave does come to our poor planet. My parents often told me that my body temperature belongs to a cooler climate. I was born in a tropical paradise, not having to experience four seasons but only two. Its either wet (rainy) or dry. Right now its so @#$%&* hot and dry!!!
People are going to the beach to cool off. I don't get it. If its hot here, then its also the same there, except of course, for the ocean. But if you do go out and swim, the sun will also be gleaming down on you. I prefer to cool off in a resort where there's a pool with a roof over it. Yes, there are some of that around here.
Right now, I hope it rains a little otherwise I'll be bloating myself again in drinking a lot of water.
